Prologue 2

Victor: "Let's see. All right, from today forward, you shall be Crown's own personal… Fairytale Keeper!"
"From here on, Kate will live in this castle and work in harmony with the members of Crown…"
"Who will in turn carefully watch her to make sure she doesn't leak our secrets…"
"Kate, your job will be to write down the stories of how they perpetrate evil. Just like a fairytale"
[...]
Victor: "If you truly wish to return to your normal life in a month's time… don't let your heart be lured into their wicked fairytales."
[...]
(It had been about a week since I'd taken the position of Fairytale Keeper and began my new life of sin.)
(Taking Victor's advice to heart, I was careful not to let myself not get too drawn into the darkness of Crown.)
(I was well on my way to proving to them just how trustworthy a person I was, so they'd have no choice but to honour their word and let me go.)
(...Or so I thought.)
(That was before and evil shroud of pure white descended upon England…)
Victor: "I've called all of you here today for a very important reason."
"As it so happens, we have some visitors from Germany today."
"I'd like all of you to meet them today, as Crown."
"Could the three of you please introduce yourselves?"
Angelic Man: "It's a pleasure to meet all of you, dear Crown members."
"My name is Darius Vogel, and I am the head of Vogel, the Emperor's Private Command."
Victor: "Vogel is an organisation that researches and promotes the Cursed and their contributions to society."
"They will be staying at the palace for a few months as goodwill ambassadors"
Darius: "'Through our curses, a brighter world awaits.' That is our motto."
"Right now, the Cursed have no choice but to live in the shadows, but I know they can become splendid members of society just like everyone else!"
"Don't you think a future where ordinary people and the Cursed can live side by side in peace is positively thrilling?"
"So you can imagine that when I heard of this wonderful organisation here in England, I just had to come see."
Harrison: "......"
Darius: "Oh, but don't worry, you're all far from famous! Hardly anyone in Germany even knows of our existence"
"We only knew of Crown because we're Cursed ourselves."
"And what better way to learn more about our different curses and abilities than by getting to know each other?"
"What say you to a dinner party? Or maybe, we could accompany you on a mission to see how you work."
Victor: "As you can see, they're here as diplomats only on the surface. Their real, secret mission is to study the Cursed."
Darius: "Why, thank you for the helpful explanation. Although we both clearly have our respective secrets…"
"I do hope that we can join hands and build a brighter future together."
"Though on that note… I notice that Lord William Rex doesn't seem to be present. Where is he, if I may ask?"
Victor: "Oh, forgive me, William couldn't make it today."
Darius: "Is that so? What a shame... And here I thought I'd finally be able to meet him in person..."
"Although I do suppose it's our fault for arriving a few days early."
"But enough about me, it's time I introduced these two here, as well. The two gentlemen with me are twins, Nica and Ring."
"Go on. Be good boys and say hello."
Ring: "...Ring Schwartz. I'll be in your care for these next few months. If you even think about doing harm to any of us, I won't show you any mercy."
Nica: "Now, now, Ring. We've only just met, and you're threatening them already? You'll have to forgive my younger brother."
"He's a sweet boy, but as you can see, he's also as wary as a guard dog. But right, it's my turn now, isn't it?"
"Guten Tag, Crown. Name's Nica Schwartz. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Darius: "As polite and well-mannered as always, Nica. Thank you."
"The three of us are like family."
"And I would love nothing more than if everyone here could also consider us that in the future."
"...Hm? I was told Crown was made up of the Queen's aide and eight others. So then… who are you?"
Kate: "Hello! My name is Kate, I work here as Crown's Fairytale Keeper."
Victor: "She's not Cursed, but she's very important to us nonetheless. She keeps a record of Crown's day to day activities."
Darius: Important, hm…?"
"If that's the case, then we'll treat her with the upmost respect."
Ring: "........."
Nica: "You're so right, Dari. I'm glad it's not just a bunch of men here."
"Pleased to meet you, adorable little robin."
Kate: "...Pleased to meet you."
(After saying our goodbyes, Victor led them to the palace rooms that had been prepared for them while the rest of us went back to Crown Castle.)
(And just as I'd gotten used to my life here… Why do I fee like things are about to change again?)
(I thought back to our conversation.)
(So Vogel researches the Cursed… I didn't think other organisations like that existed outside of England.)
(Darius had the air of an angel and smiled pleasantly the entire time.)
(Nica was really bright and friendly, while Ring was pretty standoffish... They might be twins, but their personalities couldn't be more different.)
(Either way though, I'm glad everyone's rather polite. But...)
(I can't shake the feeling that there's so much more they're not telling us.)
(Maybe the time I've spent around Crown has made me paranoid...)
Harrison: "You could feel it too, huh?"
Kate: ...About Vogel?"
Harrison: "They're all lying through their teeth."
[…]
Nica: "...Fairytale Keeper, huh? Don't remember seeing anything about her in the documents we had about Crown."
"I bet she's just accidentally found out, so now they're keeping an eye on her. What do you think, Ring?"
Ring: "......"
Nica: "Uh, hello? Ring, are you even listening?"
Ring: "...Ah. All of this is a bit too over my head, but I don't think speculating without concrete information is gonna do us any good."
"We don't know anything about her, so we should stay on our guard…"
Darius: "Whatever it is, I doubt there's much 'Miss Fairytale Keeper' can do. She's just a normal human."
"Our goal is, first and foremost, is to make our family bigger. Don't forget that."
Nica: "Verstanden."
Ring: "...Understood."
Darius: "Oh, I do hope we'll have another chance to talk to them soon… Fufu."
